Restored Gardens at a French Chateau

I know I've touched on this before, but one of the things I truly miss while living in NYC is an abundance of green space. Sure, we have parks (and really, Central Park is a LOT of green space), but when you grew up with an entire acre of it just for your family its loss can feel pretty poignant. Luckily for me, there's a large park only a few blocks from my apartment where I head whenever I feel too disconnected from nature, and since it's in Queens it's considerably quieter than those in Manhattan-always a bonus! When I stumbled across the renovated gardens of this French Chateau, I knew I had to share. They're incredibly simple and serene, making the most of the softly rolling green hills around them with a bit of manicured space to show off the splendor of the home!

  2. Gorgeous! I lived in New York for a year and was really thrown off by the lack of green. It was so strange to me, having spent most of my life in the Seattle area, to have to actively go to a certain part of town to see nature! Well, the siren song of Washington got me, and I headed back. It's real pretty here!
